Enclosed Electrode Holders
AFT manufacture a complete range of electrode holders from traditional "Splash" type through to special purpose electrode assemblies that can be inserted from above the glass level.
All electrode assemblies are constructed from selected types of stainless steel and are tested prior to shipment to the customer. Various lengths and diameters of holder can be supplied to suit different customer applications. Additionally, holders to customer's specification, or special purpose holders for unusual applications can be designed and supplied.
The insulating guards are used to reduces the possibility of operatives coming into contact with the live sidewall electrodes. The guards are supplied complete with electrode supports and the special cable connector.
The enclosed electrode holders shown here are extremely well proven and have been our best selling holder for a number of years.
Tank Bottom Electrode Holder
This style of electrode holder has improved cooling characteristics which give a very well cooled electrode nose end. The holder can be used in side-wall and tank bottom applications and can be supplied with or without a thermocouple or insulated end. Below is an example of a holder fitted in the bottom of a container-glass tank. The standard thermocouple used is type "K" and the standard head is the 2 pin male/female "jack" type. Normally, if the customer requires it, other thermocouple types can be fitted. The "K" type thermocouples are installed in a protective sheath and can be easily removed by unscrewing the retaining screws and sliding the thermocouple out of its bracket.
Electrode Cable Connector
This photograph shows the cast, copper, electrode cable connector that is used with AFT sidewall electrodes if the AFT insulating electrode guard is specified.
